Clubs: From One Enthusiast to Another
While many of the products we sell are designed to appeal to auto enthusiasts, our traditional business model has been that of a chemical wholesaler, selling our highly concentrated formulations to companies specializing in manufacturing and packaging of consumer retail fuel additives. The rapid growth in sales of retail gasoline additives in the last ten years has lead to a situation in which the shelves of
auto-parts stores and discount retailers are stocked with an extremely confusing variety of product types. Even the most knowledgeable of auto enthusiasts frequently has a difficult time determining the differences between products, and the job that each is designed specifically to do.
We believe that the advent of e-commerce provides an opportunity for the enthusiasts in our company, (including our president, Dr. Taylor) to communicate directly with auto enthusiasts everywhere, and to explain the specific performance of, and sell products directly to those enthusiasts.
Our initial efforts will be aimed at those whose level of interest is such that they participate as members in some type of auto club. To be eligible to purchase from our on-line store you must provide the name and address of your club. If after using our products you are convinced of their value, we want you and your club to encourage other members to purchase them. As an incentive, at the end of each year, AFDT will send a cash rebate equal to 10% of the total value spent by the members during the year to the club.
Because regular use of fuel additives is a critical part of an effective preventive maintenance program, we don’t plan to sell individual bottles of additives, but rather a minimum of a 6-pack that is intended to last for up to 6-months. Depending on the type of car you drive, or the end use application, we have designed the following three product sets for our market introduction:

The New
Car Pack
This product is designed for use in cars, trucks and SUV’s that are relatively new, are equipped with catalytic converters, and are currently covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. The product is US EPA registered for use in all modern-technology vehicles. The 6-pack contains one bottle with a distinctive marking, and five bottles that are identical. The distinctive bottle contains a “Clean Up” level of fuel injector/intake valve detergents and other proprietary fuel system and combustion chamber cleaners. It should be used first, followed either monthly or at 1,000 mile intervals by one of the other five bottles, each of which contains a maintenance level of detergents and cleaners.
Continued use of this regimen of treatment will insure that you retain “new car” performance for the life of your vehicle, and will prevent the ever more costly deterioration in fuel economy that occurs inevitably as fuel system deposits build up with mileage accumulation.
The Classic Car Pack
This product is designed for use in cars in any of the following categories:

Any vehicle manufactured prior to 1974

Any vehicle manufactured after 1974 that does not have a catalytic converter

All vehicles that were designed for use with leaded gasoline

Any post-1974 vehicle that has been modified for off-road use

Any vehicle that requires fuel containing Valve Seat Protection Additives
This 6-pack also contains one bottle with a distinctive marking, and five that are identical. The distinctive bottle contains a “Clean Up” level of fuel injector/intake valve detergents and other proprietary fuel system and combustion chamber cleaners. It should be used first, followed at regular
intervals* by one of the other five bottles, each of which contains a maintenance level of detergents and cleaners. In addition to detergents and cleaners, this formulation contains a powerful octane booster, which also serves to protect against valve seat recession in those vehicles that were designed for use with leaded gasoline. Finally, if like the author, you tend to store your classic during inclement weather, you can now do so without the fear of gasoline deterioration and deposit buildup, since the additive package includes both an anti-oxidant and a fuel stabilizer.
Faithful use of this regimen of treatment will restore lost performance to your classic, prevent future deterioration of performance, and insure many years of trouble-free enjoyment.
The Racer's Pack
Very simply, this product contains the best octane booster and performance enhancement package volume-for-volume that can be formulated. If you’re a racer, you know the performance benefits available from increased gasoline octane rating. All the bottles in this 6-pack contain the same formula, which should be added to about 10-gallons of gasoline. Try it; you’ll really feel the difference!
